Overview

Compensation: $64000 to $90000 based on experience and credentials

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMย 

The Instructional Designer creates effective and engaging blended learning experiences through crossmedia instructional design, including eLearning, video, technical writing, and live facilitation. This role facilitates inperson and virtual classes, evaluates the effectiveness of learning programs, and ensures training content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational needs. The ID supports the Learning Management System (LMS) by adding classes, uploading content, and maintaining course accuracy, while collaborating with business partners, facilitators, and stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

Design and develop blended learning materials, including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, videos, simulations, microlearning, and print resources Apply adult learning theory, instructional design methodology, and performance-based approaches to create engaging learning solutions Participate in needs assessments to design role-specific curriculum and high-level learning architecture Collaborate with the Employee Experience Business Partners to create and maintain style guides, templates, and design standards for Internal support opperations content and presentations Ensure all deliverables align with business goals, learner needs, and organizational standards Facilitate instructorled training sessions (virtual and/or inperson) for employees at various levels Provide post-session feedback on learner performance, curriculum effectiveness, and opportunities for program improvement Support pilot classes and new training rollouts by gathering learner insights and partnering with stakeholders on refinements Communicate effectively with business partners, subject matter experts, and L&D colleagues throughout the design and facilitation process Provide coaching and support to Instructional Designers, facilitators, and L&D specialists within the team framework Share curriculum updates and program insights clearly and proactively with leadership and collaborative partners Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or a related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.) Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design or learning content development Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
