Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Investigator
Marshall Investigative Group (MIG) โ€“

Marshall Investigative Group (MIG), the industryโ€™s leading investigative firm, is seeking self-motivated, experienced investigators to join our team. We specialize in surveillance and mobile investigations that support insurance fraud claims involving bodily injury, theft, property damage, and financial loss.

We are currently hiring a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Investigator to conduct complex, in-depth investigations into suspected fraud, misconduct, and other suspicious activities. This role plays a crucial part in detecting, preventing, and documenting fraud through fieldwork, interviews, research, and collaboration.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into suspected insurance fraud claims.

  • Perform surveillance, accident scene investigations, and witness canvassing.

  • Conduct recorded statements, interviews, and examinations under oath/sworn statements.

  • Review policy documents, databases, and other investigative sources.

  • Identify red flags, compensability issues, and misrepresentation.

  • Prepare clear, detailed, and accurate written investigative reports.

  • Collaborate with adjusters, attorneys, analysts, and external experts as needed.

  • Uphold professionalism, ethics, and discretion at all times.


Qualifications
  • Licensing: Must hold or be able to obtain a Private Investigator license (experience with a licensed PI firm may be accepted in lieu of license). CFE or CIFI preferred.

  • Experience: Previous SIU or investigative experience with an insurance carrier or firm required.

  • Driverโ€™s License & Insurance: Valid driverโ€™s license and personal auto insurance with 100/300/100 coverage limits required.

  • Technology & Tools: Personal computer (MS Word), digital surveillance camera, and proficiency with investigative/surveillance technology required.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associateโ€™s or bachelorโ€™s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.

  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently and manage long surveillance assignments (8โ€“10 hours per day, including weekends as needed).

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
