Production Supervisor – Off Shift


Location: Automotive Manufacturing Facility
Schedule: Off Shift – 2nd or 3rd Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time


Position Summary

Markdom is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead off-shift manufacturing operations in a fast-paced automotive injection molding and assembly environment. This position is responsible for supervising production employees, achieving daily production targets, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring efficient operation of the assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide daily direction to production operators and team members.
  • Coordinate staffing, job assignments, breaks, and production priorities throughout the shift.
  • Monitor injection molding and assembly operations to achieve production, scrap, quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Respond to production issues and coordinate with Process Technicians, Maintenance, Quality, and Material Handling.
  • Ensure employees follow standardized work, safety requirements, quality procedures, and company policies.
  • Monitor attendance, performance, productivity, and employee conduct.
  • Provide employee coaching, corrective action, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Complete shift reports and communicate production issues to the incoming shift and management.
  • Support continuous improvement, 5S, scrap reduction, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and organization throughout assigned production areas.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of production leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Automotive, plastic injection molding, or high-volume manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supervising hourly production employees.
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, productivity, scrap, and manufacturing KPIs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and effectively coordinate support resources.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be comfortable working an off-shift schedule and providing hands-on leadership on the production floor.
