Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to support and maintain injection molding equipment and auxiliary systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance, quality, and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment (dryers, robots, conveyors, chillers)
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and resolve machine downtime issues efficiently
  • Support mold changes, startups, and process troubleshooting as needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
  • Collaborate with operators, process technicians, and engineering teams
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and equipment reliability

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining injection molding equipment
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, PLC troubleshooting, and controls
  • Experience with brands such as Husky, Engel, Milacron, Arburg, or similar preferred
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Skills
  • Mold repair and hot runner experience
  • PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Robotics experience (e.g., Fanuc, Wittmann)
  • TPM or preventive maintenance program experience
