Job description

PAY RANGE:

STARTING pay is $21-$26 an hour. To determine your starting pay, begin at $21.00/hour and add $0.50/hour for each year of verifiable full time work experience as an EMT. Annual salary increases up to 5% are based on performance, not survival time. You are able to reach the top of the pay scale in five years, not twenty.

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

Under the Supervisory Staff, the ideal Emergency Medical Technician will perform duties associated with providing emergency and non-emergency care and transportation to the sick and injured in the Cambridge and Metro Boston area in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Valid Driver License

Driving record in compliance with company policy

Current Massachusetts EMT certification

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

FEMA IS-100.C Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100

FEMA IS-200.C Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, ICS-200

FEMA IS-700.B An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)

FEMA IS-800.D National Response Framework, An Introduction
