What You'll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Anesthetize, monitor, maintain, and recover surgical patients perioperatively
  • Obtain patient histories, vitals, temperatures, and diagnostic samples
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory work, and radiology
  • Prepare medications, vaccines, and preventative care treatments
  • Safely restrain patients while minimizing stress and promoting safety
  • Clean and prepare exam rooms following OSHA guidelines
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support efficient hospital workflow
