As a Personal Care Assistant, your goal is to provide care for our residents in our state-of-the-art Assisted Living facility. You will be helping them with daily living such as using the toilet, bathing, and washing, dressing, serving food, medication reminders, etc.

Westminster Village is seeking a full-time Personal Care Assistant on 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm including every other weekend and some holidays. Westminster offers a competitive wage with an annual increase. The wage scale for this position is $17.51 to $19.51 an hour. Apply now for immediate consideration!


Job Duties:

  • Promote resident independence and choice.ย 
  • Assist with meal service and table clean up after meals when needed.ย 
  • Provide residents assistance with activities of daily living.ย 
  • Monitor resident self-administration of medication as indicated on resident service plan.ย 
  • Medication reminders for residents if indicated on resident service plan.ย 
  • Assist residents in completing menus for meals.ย 
  • Document care daily.ย 
  • Provide housekeeping services including laundry, making beds, empty garbage, stocking of supplies.ย 
  • Knowledgeable regarding emergency and disaster procedures as described in policies, including the location and use of firefighting equipment and alarms.ย 
  • Assist with transportation of residents, pushing wheelchair.ย 
  • Assist residents with toileting as needed.ย 
  • Perform incontinence care as needed.ย 
  • Maintain a safe environment, assuring resident safety and security.ย 
  • Attending educational meetings planned for this position.ย 
  • Provide services to residents as indicated on their individual service plan and report changes in the resident's condition or needs to the Assisted Living Leader.ย 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Current CPR certification is required. One year of experience working with geriatric people preferred.
