Responsibilities

2nd shift - 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $27.56/hr

Now hiring at our Murrysville manufacturing plant for a TCM Mold Team member.  In this role you are counted on to perform the following activities:

  • Operating French presses including loading raw material on the mold and unloading of molded parts.
  • Sawing and grinding excess material from hats using band saws and surface grinders as well as a waterjet cutting machine.
  • Operating a riveting machine to apply rivets to various shells.
  • Performing set-ups and adjustments on the machines, including die changes using power, air and hand tools and preparing raw material including cutting material that is used in the process.
  • Assembling lamp brackets/cord holder and lugs; operates punch press and clicker as needed.
  • Packing completed shells in TCM or in Hat Accessories.
  • Also demand requirements may require moving to another position in the hat factory to inspect or pack shells.
  • Visually inspecting and maintaining paperwork.
  • Entering paperwork into database.
  • Customer demand and/or seasonal limitations may require temporary work assignment to other departments in the Murrysville facility.  

Qualifications

Requirements: 

Ability to:

    • wear an air purifying respirator.
    • read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
    • understand standard units of measure.
    • set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
    • lift, 30 pounds without assistance.
    • use power and hand tools.
    • operate simple machines.
    • effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new and temporary associates.
    • work independently with minimal supervision.
    • prioritize and organize work.
    • perform lockout/tagout.
    • obtain fork truck license.
    • use waterjet machine.
    • pack shells.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months past manufacturing experience.

Additional requirement:

  • Must be able to successfully meet the requirements for respirator fit test, audiogram and PFT test.
