Care Options for Kids New Graduate Training Program

Our innovative Care Options for Kids New Graduate Nurse Program is designed to prepare you to be a successful pediatric home health nurse. With our four-week orientation with flexible scheduling, hands-on clinical instruction, skills lab, skills validation, and ongoing mentorship and training, you will be ready to work as a trusted partner in the care of our pediatric clients. Our program also includes in-home orientation training with a Care Options for Kids Preceptor and client, ensuring that you are fully prepared to work independently.

Responsibilities of New Graduate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs)

    • One to-one nursing care in a home environment
    • Physician ordered treatments for:
      • Medication Administration
      • Nutrition via a feeding tube
      • Suctioningnasal, oral and/or endotracheal
      • Seizure assessment and treatment

    Requirements for New Graduate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs)

    • Valid Pennsylvania RN or LPN License or Multistate License
    • Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
    • TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
    • Valid driver's license
    • Willing to train
