As a leading developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products for 100 years, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers seeking new approaches to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and compress timelines in the drug discovery process. Using unique expertise in the fields of materials science, surface science, optics, biochemistry and biology, the segment provides innovative solutions that improve productivity and enable breakthrough discoveries.

Scope Of the Role:

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a member of the Corning Life Sciences digital marketing team and is responsible for managing the website and email marketing programs, along with the analytics / reporting needs associated with those programs. The Digital Marketing Specialist works closely with the Leader, Digital Content Strategy and other marketing subject-matter experts to ideate, develop, design, and execute website content and email marketing materials.
Success will be measured by:

  • Website: lead generation and engagement metrics
  • Email marketing: lead nurture, MQL generation, and engagement metrics

 

Responsibilities:

  • Publish and manage digital content for Corning Life Sciences web pages on Corning.com, as well as unaffiliated brands and other partner web sites
  • Manage projects and routine content freshness updates with PLMs and other stakeholders to refresh and update Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content, as well as manage a division-wide web content expiration process
  • Responsible for identifying web optimization opportunities and partnering with IT and vendor partners on the development, testing, and deployment of those enhancements
  • Subject-matter expert for AEM for Corning Life Sciences & serve as the primary trainer for all new AEM users including support in other regions of the world
  • Works closely with Leader, Digital Marketing Operations to develop and execute email marketing strategies, including newsletters, promotional campaigns, and nurture campaigns
  • Optimize email campaigns for deliverability, open rates, and click-through rates using A/B testing and data-driven insights
  • Troubleshoot and optimize processes within Marketing Automation platforms
  • Manage email lists and segment audiences to personalize content for engagement
  • Reports out on campaign performance on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis with actionable insights for cross-functional teams
  • Act as email marketing program subject-matter expert and provide guidance to global teams to support regional email marketing efforts
  • Compile website and email metrics for areas of responsibility using Google Analytics (GA) and Adobe Marketo Engage
  • Use GA data to make recommendations for improving the website experience
  • Work with corporate analytics team to develop new web KPI, dashboard strategies, and reporting tools
  • Subject-matter expert for web & email analytics for Corning Life Sciences

 

Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing (corporate experience preferred)
  • High proficiency with creating web content and experience with web content management systems (experience with Adobe Experience Manager a plus)
  • Experience with analytics dashboards (Google Analytics) and data analysis preferred
  • Strong skills with Email Marketing Platforms (experience with Adobe Marketo Engage a plus). Knowledgeable on email sending and testing best practices.
  • Experience with, and knowledge of, HTML and CSS (Responsive email coding) preferred

The range for this position is $68,142.00 - $93,696.00  assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
