Job description

Are you a skilled

Geriatric Care Physician seeking a vibrant community to practice in? Join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM, where the sun shines 310 days a year! The department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a full-time Geriatric Care Physician with an interest in providing care for our veterans.

Candidates must have completed residency training and possess a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine from any state or US territory. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Primary Care or Family Medicine.

Highlights of this opportunity:

  1. Potential starting base salary range: $200,000-243,000
  2. Permanent full-time position; scheduling may vary depending on deployment and/or assigned facility needs
  3. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)
  4. 50-55 Days of PTO (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year, possible 5 day paid absence for CME )
  5. Possible Relocation Incentive for highly qualified candidates
  6. Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement for CME (must be full-time with board certification)
  7. No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
  8. Must be available to deploy with 72 hours notice within 2 windows of time per calendar year, for up to a month at a time
