Pointwealth Capital Management – Investment Analyst / Trader (Portfolio Management Responsibilities)
 
Base salary: $100,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus and full benefits package (401(k) with match, health/dental/vision, PTO).
 
Job Description: This position is for an experienced Investment Analyst, Trader, or Portfolio Manager. The individual must have 5+ years of relevant experience in portfolio management, trading, or investment analysis, and be fully licensed (SIE, Series 7, 63/65 or 66 required, or ability to obtain within 60 days).
 
We are a boutique investment firm located in Encino, CA, managing over $500M in client assets. This role will have a leading hand in the investment strategy and execution of the firm. Primary responsibilities include leading daily investment operations, trading, research, and analysis. This is a dynamic role and every day will be different. The individual must have the ability to problem solve independently using our back-office and extensive resources, and communicate proactively when needing additional guidance.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in portfolio management, trading, or investment analysis
  • Fully licensed: SIE, Series 7, and 63/65 or 66 required, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire date
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor firm investment models
  • Execute all trading and portfolio rebalancing
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend changes based on market conditions, client circumstances, and investment objectives
  • Conduct investment research and due diligence on mutual funds, ETFs, individual securities, separately managed accounts (SMAs), fixed income investments, and alternative investments
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to develop customized investment recommendations and support client meetings when needed
  • Monitor economic trends, market developments, interest rate movements, and geopolitical events that may impact client portfolios
  • Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory and firm compliance policies
  • Work closely with operations and compliance teams to resolve trading, reconciliation, and account-related issues
  • Respond promptly to advisor and client investment inquiries
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned to support the firm's investment management and client service objectives
