Job description

Manufacturing Engineer

 Are you ready to bring your Manufacturing Engineering skills to a team that values precision and innovation? At Martin Sprocket & Gear, we’re dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings with excellence, and we're looking for skilled Manufacturing Engineers like you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Complete hands-on training: Participate in an immersive training program to gain foundational knowledge and practical skills in design engineering processes.
  • Develop standard drawings: Create and refine standard drawings within a regulated environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Project management: Oversee projects from start to finish, including the delivery of approval drawings, manufacturing prints, and bills of materials.
  • 3D modeling and layout creation: Generate detailed 3D assemblies and layout drawings for conveying equipment, ensuring precision and functionality.
  • Pricing model development and quoting: Design pricing models and prepare accurate quotes for custom, made-to-order components to meet client specifications.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with manufacturing, sales, and quality teams to align design with production capabilities and customer expectations.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve design standards, and support cost-saving initiatives.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Manufacturing experience: Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude: Strong technical skills and understanding of mechanical concepts.
  • Drafting software skills: Familiarity with Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidEdge is a plus.
  • Attention to detail: Highly detail-oriented in all aspects of work.
  • Customer service commitment: Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and upholding Martin's standards.
  • Communication skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Self-motivation and goal orientation: Proactive with a strong drive to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making: Able to independently evaluate situations, solve problems, and make effective decisions.

Your Schedule:

  • 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
