Description
Full-Time, 7a-3p, includes every 7th weekend
Services all county-owned propane equipment and appliances such as: In-ground and above ground tanks, regulators, valves, piping and associated appurtenances, propane vaporizers/recovery systems, hot air furnaces, Modine type heaters, make up air unit pre-heaters, on-demand hot water heaters, stoves, ovens, ranges, griddles, skillets, steamers, steam kettles and dryers.
Engineers all new in-house installed gas systems and or modifies existing systems throughout county buildings to ensure systems meet NFPA 54, state regulations and industry standards. Oversees selection of materials, fabrication and installation of subject systems and circuits to ensure quality of work and to ensure the installed system meets design specifications.
Participates in review of all outside engineering gas-related plans for new construction and expansion projects.
Reviews contractor submittals to verify submittals meet: NFPA 54, state regulations, industry standards and facilitates future maintenance requirements. Once approved, ensures contractors properly install what was approved.
Secondary Duties may include: Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance complex-wide, on other equipment outside of gas-fitter trade.
Requirements
Must possess active State of New Hampshire gas fitter's license, minimum of 3-years, continuous service, as a licensed gas-fitter.
Must provide supervisor with a copy of active license for department records and comply with all required continuing education requirements to continuously maintain license in active status.
