Job description

Job Summary:
Old Mission is a global proprietary trading firm that leverages state-of-the-art technology and research to identify and execute profitable trading strategies. As a Junior Full-Stack Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to build scalable frontend systems and improve trading interfaces, while learning best practices for safety and user experience.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of intuitive trading interfaces using modern web tools like TypeScript and React
• Write clean, well-tested code under the guidance of senior engineers
• Participate in code reviews to learn and uphold coding standards and design philosophy
• Assist in building internal tools to increase efficiency of data mining, risk management, and more
• Collaborate closely with teammates to understand user needs and translate them into effective UI solutions
Qualifications:
Required:
• An undergraduate or an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or one of the hard sciences
• Passion for UX and front-end development
• Internship experience in a front-end focused role coding in TypeScript, JavaScript, or React
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Understanding of systems programming, data structures, and algorithms
• Familiarity working in a Linux environment
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal
• A strong work ethic and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
