Description

The Shift Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our hospital facilities and grounds. This position is responsible for day to day maintenance, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance across the hospital campus, helping to maintain a safe, compliant, and fully functional environment of care.

We are seeking a versatile, hands-on professional who can work independently and handle a wide range of maintenance tasks. By maintaining accurate records and reporting on equipment status, the Shift Engineer helps ensure long-term facility reliability and supports operational excellence throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform light electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, sheetrock and carpentry repairs, painting, and surface repairs.
  • Carry out routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and system calibrations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and hospital teams to prioritize and complete repair work efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures.
