About ICS
Innovative Construction Services, Inc. (ICS) is a commercial specialty subcontractor and general contractor headquartered in Greenwood, Indiana. Since 2004, we've built our reputation on quality work, strong GC partnerships, and crews that take pride in what they put up. We self-perform metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and painting and coatings, handle drywall in-house on smaller projects while partnering with trusted subcontractors on larger ones, and manage wall coverings through subcontractors. ICS is WBE-certified through the State of Indiana and the City of Indianapolis, and we work with the leading commercial general contractors in the Indianapolis market on projects ranging from healthcare and hospitality to education and multi-family.
Our culture is anchored in one idea: "You never rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems." — The ICS Standard
We believe great projects come from great systems. Clear expectations, strong communication, and disciplined field execution. If that's how you think, you'll fit here.
About the Role
The Senior Field Superintendent is the on-site field leader for ICS. You'll run the crews, coordinate day-to-day project execution, and be the on-site point of contact for our General Contractor site teams. You'll work closely with our Field Superintendents, Estimating team, and COO to make sure every project is built to spec, on schedule, and to the ICS standard.
This is a field role. You'll be on active jobsites leading people, solving problems in real time, and keeping the work moving.
What You'll Do
- Lead field operations across multiple concurrent commercial projects in the Indianapolis market
- Direct and support self-perform crews (framing, ACT, insulation, paint/coatings, and drywall on smaller projects)
- Coordinate with drywall and wall covering subcontractors on larger projects, ensuring scope integration with self-perform trades
- Coordinate with GC site superintendents on daily execution, scheduling, and sequencing
- Review plans, set layout, and anticipate problems before they hit the field
- Walk jobsites regularly to verify quality, safety, and production against the plan
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower with our Materials Coordinator
- Support the estimating team during pre-construction on constructability and field input
- Uphold ICS safety standards on every jobsite, every day
- Mentor and develop field supers and crew leads
What You Bring

- 5+ years of experience in a similar role (commercial field leadership / superintendent / lead foreman)
- Hands-on metal stud framing experience, or strong working knowledge of metal stud framing
- Comfortable with metal stud framing layout
- Familiar with commercial drywall scope, systems, and installation
- Familiar with acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) systems and installation
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal)
- Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills — with crews, field supers, and GC site teams
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred:
- Additional trade knowledge: insulation, paint/coatings, or wall coverings
- Background in commercial interiors, healthcare, hospitality, education, or multi-family
- Experience working with top-tier commercial GCs in the Indianapolis market
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, Contractor Foreman, etc.)
ICS is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We're proud to be WBE-certified and committed to a workplace where everyone has a fair shot.
