Job description

Welder/ Fabricator (Shop)

Location: Ashland, VA

Pay: Based on experience and skill level

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime frequently available)

Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator for a full-time, shop-based role focused on fabricating miscellaneous parts and structural frames. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on welding experience who can work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of welding/fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques and basic metallurgy
  • Ability to plan work and select appropriate tools and equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, layout, and fit parts and assemblies according to specifications
  • Cut materials using saws, ironworkers, and other metalworking equipment
  • Prepare components for welding using grinders, sanders, and related tools
  • Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Determine proper welding methods and equipment based on materials and requirements
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials and finished products
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Schedule & Benefits:

  • Full-time: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime frequently available)

  • Paid holidays after 90 days
  • PTO accrual begins on day one (usable after 90 days)
