How much do full time frame welder jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 24, 2026, the average hourly pay for full time frame welder in the United States is $22.26, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $18.75 and $24.76 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Full Time Frame Welders can earn around $10,000 a month with experience, specialized skills, and working in high-demand industries such as oil and gas or aerospace. Achieving this income typically requires certifications, extensive training, and working overtime or in remote locations. Other high-paying jobs without a degree include certain sales roles, commercial pilots, and skilled trades like pipefitting or heavy equipment operation.

Why do welders age so fast?

Full time welders are exposed to intense heat, ultraviolet radiation, and fumes daily, which can accelerate skin aging and cause health issues over time. The physically demanding nature of welding, combined with exposure to hazardous materials, contributes to faster aging compared to less physically intensive jobs.

What is the difference between Full Time Frame Welder vs Part Time Frame Welder?

Both roles require similar skills and certifications, but the employment structure differs.

Can you make 300k as a welder?

Full-time welders can potentially earn $300,000 annually, but this typically requires extensive experience, specialized skills, high-demand certifications, and working in high-paying industries such as oil and gas or construction. Most welders' salaries range from $40,000 to $70,000 per year, with top earners in certain niches or with overtime and bonuses reaching higher figures. Achieving a $300,000 salary is uncommon and usually involves advanced skills, supervisory roles, or working in remote or hazardous environments with premium pay.

Can you make $100,000 as a welder?

Full-time welders can potentially earn $100,000 or more annually, especially with specialized skills, certifications, and experience in high-demand industries like construction, manufacturing, or pipeline work. Earnings vary based on location, overtime, and the complexity of projects, with some top earners working in hazardous environments or performing advanced welding techniques. However, reaching this income level typically requires significant experience and possibly working in high-paying regions or sectors.
