About the Position: This is a time limited position. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating application development efforts in support of agency operations, while also providing hands-on technical expertise in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications; selected candidate will supervise and guide a team of developers, establish priorities, and ensure adherence to established standards, policies, and best practices; Key responsibilities include overseeing the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and efficient applications; review and approve application designs and code, monitor system performance, and lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues; responsible for maintaining proper system documentation, evaluating emerging technologies, and recommending enhancements to improve overall system functionality and efficiency; works closely with internal IT staff, external vendors, and service providers to support application-related initiatives; provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This role operates with a high level of independence and may lead large or complex projects critical to agency operations.

Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of IT experience with emphasis in applications development and support.Preference will be given to applicants with development experience in the following: Visual Basic, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, .NET, and Visual Foxpro.
