**Compensation range is $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
We are rapidly expanding our professional arborist group in the St. Louis market. We aren't just looking for a hand; we are looking for a skilled aerial professional ready to elevate their craft. This role is designed for an experienced climber with technical grit and a passion for high-level tree care. As an Experienced Arborist/Climber at RYAN, you won't just be "pruning"-you will be executing complex tree care operations and helping mentor the next generation of arborists.
What You'll Do
  • Precision Climbing & Field Operations: Perform high-level pruning and complex removals using advanced climbing, rigging, and aerial lift techniques. Your expertise will also drive general property care, including stump grinding, mulching, and light landscape work to ensure a pristine finish for our clients.
  • Operational Excellence: Expertly operate chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders while maintaining a "safety-first" culture.
  • Mentorship: Assist in training ground crews and maintaining job site efficiency through professional expertise.
  • Client Advocacy: Act as a subject matter expert, communicating clearly with St. Louis homeowners to ensure expectations are exceeded.

Requirements
We are seeking an individual who treats arboriculture as a craft, not just a job.
  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in professional tree climbing and technical rigging.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of modern climbing gear (SRT/SRS or MRS) and aerial safety standards.
  • Professional Mindset: A commitment to maintaining equipment, fostering safety, and taking ownership of daily production.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work aloft for extended periods, lift 50+ lbs, and thrive in all Missouri weather conditions.
  • Credentials: High School Diploma or GED (Required),Valid Driver's License (Required). Ability to obtain DOT certification.
    ISA Certification or a degree in Forestry/Related fields is a major plus.

** SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of vehicles and equipment. All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment. Candidates must meet all screening requirements as a condition of employment.
