Job description

Help Keep Cole’s Flea Market Looking Its Best

Cole’s Flea Market, Pearland’s premier shopping and entertainment destination, is looking for a dependable and experienced Painter/Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance and Site Services team.

This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys a variety of projects, and can work independently to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-kept property.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare drywall, wood, metal, and other surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and priming.
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
  • Mix and match paint colors, finishes, and textures.
  • Protect floors, fixtures, windows, and surrounding areas before beginning work.
  • Complete painting, touch-ups, and general upkeep throughout buildings, food stands, offices, warehouses, seller spaces, carts, rides, and fencing.
  • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance projects.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, pressure washers, ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
  • Track work orders, log hours, and communicate project updates.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Four years of painting, construction, facilities maintenance, or related experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application, color matching, and general repairs.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic digital work-order platforms.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to solve problems independently.
  • Positive attitude and ability to communicate professionally with team members and management.
  • Willingness to follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, crawl, climb, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, push, and pull.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
  • Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
