CMM Programmer 

Location: Greater Los Angeles Area/Long Beach, CA
Industry: Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: $35-$40
Schedule: 6AM-3:PM Monday -Friday


 Position Overview

We are seeking a CMM Programmer to support our Quality team. This role is responsible for programming and operating CMM equipment, performing inspections, and ensuring all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

This position works with minimal supervision and plays a key role in supporting production, engineering, and inspection processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Program, operate, and maintain CMM equipment
  • Create and maintain CMM work instructions
  • Perform inspections using CMM and manual tools
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (AS9102 required)
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Inspect complex parts and assemblies for compliance
  • Document inspection results and quality records
  • Support receiving and final inspection as needed
  • Identify defects and drive corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams
  • Train and support junior inspectors

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality standards
  • Advanced GD&T knowledge (required)
  • Experience with PC-DMIS programming (required)
  • Experience with VERISURF and ROMER arm (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102)
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Dassault Systems ENOVIA PLM
  • Experience with CATIA CAD software
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing
  • Aerospace experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with receiving and source inspection required
  • Proven ability to complete AS9102 FAI packages (Forms 1, 2, 3) independently
