Position Summary:

Do you have experienceย preparing ad hoc reports for analyzing financial information?ย  Do you thrive on assisting with developing, automating, and implementing financial models, reports, budgets and forecasts?ย ย Do you have experience with SQL and Power BI?ย  Then the Financial Data Analystย position may be what you're looking for! This position is the perfect union of accounting and IS.

Essential Functions:

1. Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports and graphs for firm management.

2. Works with SQL to build, query, merge and analyze large sets of data.

3. Analyzes and understands business requirements and create reports to support needs.

4. Utilizes Power BI and other business intelligence software to build, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports.

5. Functions as an important resource for practice group leaders, department heads and senior staff regarding their reporting needs

6. Performs detailed analysis on Power BI reports to determine areas for improvement.

7. Leads the development of reports using SQL, Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Python, and other analytical tools

8. Processes, cleans, and validates data for predictive analysis and data modeling.

9. Collaborates with multiple departments across the firm to analyze and automate business needs.

10. Identifies and assesses the current performance and historical trends across all practice groups and departments.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business intelligence, data engineering or business administration
  • 3-5 years of data analysis experience
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL queries
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI and Power Query
  • Law firm experience preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in financial analysis and modeling preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and perform under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service attitude

The salary range for this position is $81K to $98K.

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
