Description
Hulcher Services is seeking a motivated and success-driven Field Safety Specialist. You will play a vital role in the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive safety program.

Hulcher Service is an industry leader with more than 500 employees and over 25 divisions located in the United States and Mexico assisting customers with derailments as well as engineering work, track maintenance, disaster response, and environmental projects.
What You'll Do:
  • Provides assistance for the study, development, and application of training as it relates to your region of responsibility and those reporting to this position.
  • Investigates health, safety, and environmental incidents as well as DOT-related incidents, prepare reports of findings, and recommend corrective actions to management.
  • Ensures that field operations comply with OSHA, FRA, and other Health and Safety regulatory agencies.
  • Audits facilities to detect existing or potential safety and health hazards and recommends corrective or preventative measures where indicated.
  • Conducts site surveys to determine safe limits exposure to materials or conditions such as temperatures, noise, dusts, fumes, vapors, mists, gases, and solvents that are known or suspected of being real or potential determents of health.
  • Recommends implements and monitors control measures of exposure to hazardous material or conditions.
  • Provides technical guidance to management regarding occupational health & safety concerns such as the correct use of personal protective clothing, respiratory protection, and accessories.
  • Contributes to new training curriculum development as requested and according to federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to the occupational health and safety of personnel.
  • Maintains safety files and records.

Requirements
What You Bring:
  • Accuracy in record keeping is critical for the efficient performance of this position.
  • Associate degree in safety or equivalent discipline, bachelor's degree in safety or equivalent discipline

Three (3) years of related field operations, instructor or related field operations experience
  • Five (5) years of safety-related work experience
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations
