You will work closely with Sales Representatives, Branch Leadership, Operations, and Service teams to develop customer solutions, expand market opportunities, and drive profitable growth.

This role is responsible for providing advanced product application expertise, supporting complex projects, mentoring sales personnel, and strengthening relationships with key customers. The RPDM plays a critical role in transferring technical knowledge, supporting business development initiatives, and ensuring customers receive innovative and reliable solutions that align with their operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Product Expertise & Customer Solutions

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for pumps, tanks, filtration systems, fluid handling equipment, bypass applications, and related rental solutions.
  • Support Sales Representatives in identifying customer requirements and recommending appropriate equipment solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex applications, large-scale projects, planned turnarounds, and specialty rental opportunities.
  • Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and project planning discussions to ensure equipment recommendations meet operational requirements.
  • Support project scoping, equipment sizing, and application reviews to ensure successful project execution.

Business Development & Customer Engagement

  • Partner with sales teams to identify new business opportunities and increase market penetration.
  • Promote company products, services, and technical capabilities through customer interactions, presentations, and field visits.
  • Support strategic account development by helping customers identify operational improvements and equipment solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.

Sales Development & Coaching

  • Act as a coach and mentor to Sales Representatives by providing technical product training and application support.
  • Conduct ride-alongs and customer visits with Sales Representatives to support professional development and sales effectiveness.
  • Assist in onboarding and developing new sales personnel.
  • Share best practices, product knowledge, and industry expertise across branches and sales teams.
  • Support continuous learning and technical competency development throughout the organization.

Collaboration & Operational Support

  • Act as a business partner to Sales, Operations, Service, and Branch Leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with branch personnel to ensure equipment availability and successful project execution.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure expectations are met and customer satisfaction remains high.
  • Support regional initiatives that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Safety, Compliance & Administration

  • Demonstrate Atlas Copco's commitment to safety by promoting safe work practices and compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Complete assigned reports and administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, equipment rental, industrial services, or a related operational environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial equipment applications, customer solution development, and project support.
  • Experience leading training initiatives, mentoring sales personnel, and supporting employee development is preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across Sales, Operations, Service, and Branch Leadership teams.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel throughout the assigned region.
