Job description
Capital Equipment is looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our shop in Jefferson City, MO. This mechanic will be required to perform maintenance on the following trucks:
- Dump Truck
- End Dump Truck
- Pneumatic Truck
- Low Boy/Heavy Haul Truck
- Asphalt Cement Truck

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of trucks
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance
- Perform safety checks
- Assist senior mechanics
- Change brakes and tires
- Trouble shoot and repair engine and transmission issues
- Estimate time and material costs on equipment repairs and request new parts
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation in compliance with company and OSHA standards
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have your own tools
- Field tech experience
- Welding experience is a plus
- Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus
- Must be able to work Saturdays, on occasion
- Obtain a valid driver’s license
- Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
