As a high-growth firm, Wilson Engineers offers the opportunity to work on impactful and technically challenging projects alongside a talented and passionate team. We are currently seeking an experienced Survey Technician to join our Tempe, Arizona office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares accurate, complete, and value-added work products and perform complex survey computations. 
  • Create point calculations utilizing existing monuments for field work.
  • Perform survey field work utilizing level, GPS and Robotic Total Station equipment.
  • Analyze and review work of consultant survey firms.
  • Responsible for reducing field data utilizing field codes and stringing (field to office data collection). 
  • Analyzes title reports and legal descriptions along with necessary map and deed research.
  • Assists in establishing boundary, centerline, parcel, right-of-way linework per recorded documents and/or field measurements.
  • Review facility, roadway, utility, etc. as-builts or record drawings and create CADD files to reflect existing improvements.
  • Works closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers to obtain project information and ensure existing drawings are accurate and complete. 

Requirements
  • Land Surveyor in training (LSIT) is preferred.
  •  Proven experience in land surveying, with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  •  Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble.
  •  Strong data analysis skills for interpreting survey data accurately.
