Job description

Citrin is an automotive staffing company looking to fill an exciting opportunity! Our Cadillac Buick GMC Dealership Partner is seeking Experienced Technicians to join our service center in Columbia, SC! With some of the largest service contracts in the area, we offer a steady flow of work and the resources to support productive technicians. 

Jim Hudson Automotive Group, is a multi-franchise dealer group with all of the most popular brands: Audi, Cadillac, Buick, GMC, Lexus, Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet and Acura. Family owned and operated, we have served the greater Columbia area since 1980. Mr. Hudson's firm commitment to customer service has formed the foundation of all our great dealerships.

What We Offer:

  • Top Pay: Competitive wages with different payment plans to match level of experience. Will go into more detail during interview.
  • Pay: $25-$50/hour flat rate based on experience and certifications. With techs averaging 40+ production hours per week (and many exceeding that), experienced certified techs at our volume earn $80,000-$150,000 annually! 
  • Sign-On and Incentive Bonus: Up to $5,000-$10,000 in bonuses for certified technicians (based on experience)
  • Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance! 
  • Shift Times: Full time 40 hours: Mon-Sat 7 AM - 5 PM or 8am- 6PM, rotating Saturdays every 3rd Saturday 
  • Increased Hours: Time and a half for warranty time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing vehicles per OEM diagnostic system (IDS)
  • Test, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more
  • Performing factory scheduled maintenance/ recalls and customer satisfaction programs
  • Communicate directly with Service Advisors to inform customers of any additional services needed and provide estimates of time required for repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain a clean work environment 
  • Meet the dealership's standards for repair order production

Qualifications:

  • OEM dealership experience and/or certification is a plus, but not required.
  • 1-2 years of experience, heavy focus on line work
  • Strong automotive background with a proven track record.
  • Professional attitude and appearance required
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness to submit to a background check, 10 panel drug screening, and motor vehicle check
  • Must possess a clean and valid driver's license.
  • Must provide own tools minus any speciality tools which will be provided by the dealership. Uniforms provided.
