Job description

Automotive Content Creator & Digital Marketing Specialist

AutoLab Pickering | Full-Time | Pickering, Ontario

AutoLab Pickering is looking for a creative, driven, and hands-on Automotive Content Creator & Digital Marketing Specialist to take ownership of our social media presence and help grow the AutoLab brand.

This is not a desk-only marketing role.

You’ll be working inside a busy automotive dealership and service centre, creating content around vehicles, repairs, diagnostics, customer deliveries, behind-the-scenes operations, promotions, and the people who make AutoLab what it is.

We are looking for someone who understands social media, knows how to create content people actually want to watch, and can turn everyday dealership activity into strong digital marketing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create engaging Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, Facebook content, and other short-form video

• Film and photograph vehicles, technicians, repairs, customer deliveries, and dealership activity

• Edit professional short-form video quickly and consistently

• Develop creative content ideas, hooks, scripts, and campaigns

• Manage AutoLab’s Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn presence

• Build and maintain a consistent content calendar

• Create vehicle walkarounds, promotional videos, service content, and educational automotive content

• Write captions and marketing copy that fit the AutoLab brand

• Respond to social engagement and help grow our online community

• Track content performance, engagement, reach, leads, and conversions

• Assist with Meta, Google, and other digital advertising campaigns

• Help strengthen AutoLab’s brand across all digital platforms

• Work directly with ownership and management on new campaigns and growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, content creation, or videography

Automotive or dealership experience is strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and short-form video

• Ability to film and edit high-quality content independently

• Strong eye for photography, composition, pacing, and storytelling

• Comfortable working around vehicles, technicians, customers, and a fast-moving dealership environment

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools

• Understanding of social media analytics and what drives engagement

• Knowledge of Meta Ads and Google Ads is an asset

• Strong communication skills and the ability to take ownership of projects

• Creative, organized, reliable, and comfortable trying new ideas

What Matters Most to Us

We care more about what you can create than what your résumé says.

Applicants should include links to:

• Instagram or TikTok accounts you have worked on

• Reels, videos, photography, or campaigns you have created

• A portfolio or examples of previous social media work

Automotive content experience will be considered a major advantage.

Why AutoLab

AutoLab is a growing automotive retail and service brand based in Pickering. Our operation combines pre-owned vehicle sales with a full-service automotive centre, diagnostics, electrical repair, reconditioning, advanced automotive technology, and customer service under one roof.

There is no shortage of content here.

One day you may be filming a newly arrived performance vehicle. The next you could be documenting an advanced diagnostic repair, creating a customer delivery Reel, launching an advertising campaign, or developing the next AutoLab social series.

You will have the opportunity to help shape the voice and identity of a growing automotive brand rather than simply maintaining someone else’s social media calendar.

Compensation

$55,000 – $70,000 per year, based on experience and ability.

Performance-based incentives may also be available.

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Pickering, Ontario

Work Environment: Primarily on-site

If you love cars, understand social media, and know how to turn a camera and an idea into content people want to watch, we want to hear from you.
