Job description

S&S Fabric Products, an established marine canvas and upholstery workroom, is hiring upholsterers to keep up with a strong backlog of boat cushion and interior upholstery work. This is steady, year-round, full-time employment — not seasonal.


You'll build and rebuild cushions and interior upholstery: measuring, patterning, cutting foam and fabric, and sewing finished pieces to a high standard. Marine experience is a plus but not required — furniture, automotive, and restoration upholsterers transfer well, and we'll train you on marine-grade materials.


You'll do well here if you have: hands-on upholstery experience (any setting), comfort with a sewing machine, attention to fit and finish, and reliability.

Location note: 1 Maritime Drive, Portsmouth, RI. The site isn't served well by public transit, so reliable transportation to work is needed.
