Are you a tech-savvy multi-tasker who thrives in the high-stakes environment of a live control room? Do you love the rush of a perfectly executed newscast and the satisfaction of keeping a station running flawlessly? We're looking for a Technical Media Producer (TMP) who isn't just a button-pusher, but a digital-first director ready to own the airwaves. If you're reliable, sharp, an early riser, and ready to be the heartbeat of our station's production, we want to talk with you.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
What You'll Do:
* Direct live productions: Take the lead on newscasts and local productions, ensuring every transition is seamless and every shot is on point.
* Own the airwaves: Monitor on-air signals and transmitter logs with precision, keeping us compliant and crystal clear for our audience.
* Drive digital content: Ingest daily programming and commercials while crafting elements for our web channels to keep our digital audience engaged.
* Master live events: Run local commercial breaks for live sporting events - because when the game is on the line, our execution has to be perfect.
* Collaborate across teams: Work closely with news and production crews to bring our stories to life across every platform we own.
* Maintain the standard: Ensure all FCC logs and station requirements are met with a "zero-fail" mindset.
* Our systems: Ross Overdrive automation, Ross production video switcher, MCR/Harris automation, Platinum House routing system, VizRT graphics, Adobe Photoshop, ENPS, Edius editing software.
Qualifications/Requirements:
What You Bring:
* A "show must go on" attitude: You're reliable, punctual, and have the transportation to get here regardless of what the weather is doing outside.
* Technical agility: You're comfortable with control room tech and can pivot quickly when live TV throws a curveball.
* Digital-first mindset: You understand that our "on-air" presence extends far beyond the TV screen to the web and mobile.
* Unshakable focus: You thrive under the pressure of live broadcasts and never miss a cue.
* Team-player DNA: You're a hard worker who lifts up the people around you and takes pride in the team's success.
* Flexibility: You're ready to own the early morning or late-night shifts and bring your A-game every single day.
Why You'll Love It Here:
* Be the engine: You aren't just watching the news; you're the one making it happen for your community.
* Cutting-edge tech: Work with modern production tools in a digital-first media environment.
* Growth opportunities: WHSV and our parent company, Gray Media, are a place where hard work is noticed, and career paths are built.
* A culture of excellence: Join a team that values urgency, accuracy, and having a little fun while we do it.
