These can include conferences, corporate meetings, weddings, festivals, trade shows, and more. Full-time roles in this field may include event planners, coordinators, managers, and support staff, all working together to ensure successful events from start to finish. These jobs often require strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work flexible hours depending on event schedules.

Working full-time in event planning can be fast-paced and demanding, with frequent deadlines and the need to adapt quickly to last-minute changes. POSITION TITLE: Event Registration & Technology Consultant
LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time - Exempt
Join Us on a Purpose-Driven Mission to Make a Difference in the World.
It's all about the gospel!
At the North American Mission Board (NAMB), we're more than a nonprofit organization - we're a family united by faith, equipping individuals and churches to share the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Across North America, millions have yet to hear this good news. Through partnerships with local churches, NAMB plants new churches in unreached neighborhoods throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico bringing light, love, and lasting change. NAMB is funded by the Southern Baptist Convention. Since 2010, Southern Baptists have planted over 10,000 churches transforming communities for eternity.
Our compassion ministry meets physical and spiritual needs through disaster relief and support for vulnerable communities - all in Jesus' name. We believe every believer and church has a role in God's story, and we're here to walk alongside you as you discover your role in making a difference in the world.
At NAMB, you'll find not just a place to serve, but a place to belong, grow, and be part of a mission that matters for eternity. Working at NAMB is a calling, not just a job.

This position supports the Events Team with a primary focus on event registration systems and event logistics, and is cross-trained to provide backup support for digital signage systems and online meeting/virtual event platforms.
Event Registration Management

  • Manage relationships with Accelevents-related contractors and vendors, coordinating deliverables, timelines, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and test registration sites, forms, confirmation communications, and payment processing for each event.
  • Train and support ministry partners and internal staff on use of the registration platform.
  • Monitor registration data, generate reports, and provide analytics to ministry partners and leadership.
  • Troubleshoot registrant issues and platform errors, escalating to contractors or Accelevents support as needed.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to registration processes and platform configuration.

Event Logistics and Execution
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and executing live events onsite and in-building.
  • Assist with organization, quality control, and care of live event assets.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, assembly, and disassembly of event assets.
  • Assist with setup, teardown, and production of live events.
  • Maintain working relationships with production and logistics teams for smooth event delivery.
  • Support offsite warehouse operations alongside the team.
  • Assist with delivery of event assets to event locations as needed.
  • Safely operate a forklift as needed (training provided). Digital Signage and Virtual Platform Support (Cross-Trained Backup)
  • Provide backup support for building digital signage systems (22Miles, Extron, and related displays) when the Event & Meeting Technology Manager is unavailable.
  • Provide backup support for online meeting/virtual event platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoTo Webinar, etc.), including basic setup and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with virtual and hybrid event execution under the direction of the Event & Meeting Technology Manager.
  • Coordinate with the Event & Meeting Technology Manager to ensure consistent, non-duplicative coverage.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business, marketing, hospitality event management, or ministry.
  • 2-4 years of experience with event registration platforms (Accelevents or similar) and event logistics preferred.
  • Experience in a church, ministry environment, or professional event production setting with exposure to faith-based events preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong flexibility and problem-solving skills; able to handle unexpected challenges calmly and creatively.
  • High attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain professional and Christ-honoring under stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ministry leaders, staff, contractors, and attendees.
  • A servant-hearted attitude and willingness to serve in any capacity.

Why NAMB?
