Job description

Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We're always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.

Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.

Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France.

As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process.

We understand there may be occasional circumstances requiring accommodation and are happy to discuss them as needed. Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.

We're looking for a dedicated Part Time Shows & Logistics Security Officer to join our dynamic events team to help protect Collector's personnel, property, and profits at trade show events across the country. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of integrity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the unique challenges of securing high-value assets and ensuring the safety of all event participants.

You'll report to the Security Shows & Transportation Manager and work a hybrid schedule out of either our Santa Ana, CA headquarters or Jersey City, NJ office, as necessary.

Travel of up to 70% is required to various event locations throughout North America. A valid Driver's License is required for this role, and you must be available to work varied and primarily weekend shifts.

What You'll Do:

  • Set up, configure, maintain, and breakdown CCTV equipment at various venues to ensure comprehensive Security coverage.

  • Provide secure transportation to and from venues, ensuring safe delivery and adherence to all Security protocols.

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, vendors, and the public at trade show events, offering assistance and information while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor.

  • Conduct regular patrols, monitoring for any unusual activity, and be prepared to respond promptly to Security incidents.

  • Maintain accurate logs of Security activities, incidents, and camera footage reviews. Prepare and submit reports as required by management.

  • Work closely with other Security team members, event staff, and local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for all attendees.

  • Secure premises and personnel by monitoring surveillance equipment and access points.

  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities.

  • Contribute to the Security team's effort by accomplishing related duties (high-value transports, special projects) as assigned.

  • Make timely decisions, while maintaining composure in high impact situations.

  • Adhere to all company service and operating standards.

  • Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.

Who You Are:

  • At least 2 years of Security experience required, preferably in a corporate or executive-protection environment.

  • Have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and able to drive at night; experience in secure transportation is highly desirable.

  • Strong technical proficiency, especially with CCTV setup, operation, and maintenance.

  • You are able to clearly communicate with a variety of individuals, both written and verbal. Being bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
