Job description

Job Description:

NOTE: Fidelity will not provide sponsorship for this position.

The Role:
We are seeking an associate to join the Order Flow Management team at FCM. This is a product management role focused on the next generation of Fidelity's equity and options order management and routing infrastructure. The primary purpose of this role is to take part in designing and implementing our cloud-based trading technology to help Fidelity deliver an exceptional trading experience to our customers. This associate will work closely with technology, trading, operations, and other business partners to manage the entire product life cycle from planning to design to implementation and adoption.

  • Develop a deep understanding of trading infrastructure, order flow management and trading desk workflows

  • Think strategically about the short- and long-term roadmap for the order management systems

  • Work closely with equity operations teams to build tools that help them manage order exceptions, risk and real-time trading issues

  • Understand evolving trends in equities and options markets and incorporate those into the product design, to enable Fidelity to launch new capabilities as the market evolves

  • Leverage product management processes, tools and methodologies to design and roll out new capabilities

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree, plus a minimum of 2 years working in product management, consulting, trading or brokerage

  • A love for problem solving and an interest in working in a fast-paced, high-risk environment

  • Ability to understand and translate trading workflows and technology specifications seamlessly across business and technology teams

  • Ability to design products and tools that meet diverse user needs, manage competing priorities and timelines, prioritize effectively, and exert influence across business, technology, operations, risk and other business partners

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to discuss both technical and high-level details effectively with a variety of audiences

  • An interest in equities and options markets

  • Series 7 and 63 to be obtained within 6 months

  • Technical knowledge of Python, KDB/Q, Snowflake and other systems is a plus

The Team:

The Order Flow Management team (OFM) is responsible for the routing and Best Execution of equity and options orders for Fidelity's retail, RIA and correspondent clearing customers. This includes the product development of the core trading platform, along with the process for making those routing decisions. The OFM associate is a key contributor in helping to develop the tools and systems that allow Fidelity to deliver an outstanding trading experience for a wide range of client and customer needs, and that enable Fidelity to keep pace with the rapidly-changing market environment.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model

Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-120,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

We offer a wide range of benefits to meet your evolving needs and help you live your best life at work and at home. These benefits include comprehensive health care coverage and emotional well-being support, market-leading retirement, generous paid time off and parental leave, charitable giving employee match program, and educational assistance including student loan repayment, tuition reimbursement, and learning resources to develop your career.
