Job description

Role Description:

This is a full-time, hybrid Software Engineer position located in Dahlgren, VA. The Software Engineer will be responsible for safety-critical software development for missile systems and weapon system test equipment. The ideal candidate will drive design, development, integration, and test efforts for Aegis Weapon Systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Experience in software engineering and writing code in C++ and VxWorks

Active Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting Aegis BMD, AAW, and missile flight test programs

Familiarity with Standard Missile initialization messages and telemetry formats

Experience with hardware/software integration for missile simulators and test equipment

Experience with VxWorks RTOS, including SMP and multi-core architectures
