Our top direct client Northrop Grumman is looking for a Configuration Analyst 2 to support our Configuration and Data Management (CDM) group at theDeployable Operating Unit. As a member of the CDM group you'll get to perform essential configuration management functions for the Deployable Operating Unit. This position will serve on-site at Oxnard, CA.
Responsibilities
  • Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  • Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyses proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  • Coordinates modification records for management control.
  • Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.
  • Reviews and analyses released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

Basic Qualifications for Configuration Analyst 2
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration management, document control, product lifecycle management, or similar Configuration Management Knowledge
  • Working understanding of CM principles and practices (e.g., baselines, change control, configuration identification, status accounting, audits)
  • Experience supporting or administering change management processes (ECR/ECO/CR/CI or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications Tools & Systems
  • Hands-on experience with at least one PLM/CM tool (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, PTC, ENOVIA, Agile PLM, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP or production systems is a plus (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting and documentation

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling engineering and product data
  • Solid organizational skills; able to manage multiple change packages and priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams

Preferred Qualifications for Configuration Analyst 2
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter, Enovia, and/or Costpoint
