Job description

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is currently seeking a full-time Engineering Technician graduate in our Salt Lake City, UT office. The ideal candidate will have an interest in Roadway engineering design. This position will have a primary focus on the daily operations of engineering projects and interoffice collaboration with staff and team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support field investigations or assessments.
  • Perform design engineering calculations.
  • Assist in the horizontal and vertical design of various types of municipal roadway, parks, trails, parking lots, and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Participate in the production of construction documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Participate with the writing and production of technical project reports.
  • Work under the direct guidance and mentorship of senior engineers and project managers.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering or related subject.

  • Ideally has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or will take it soon after hire

  • Ability to take and pass the Professional Engineer (PE) exam as soon as qualified.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to make local site visits.

Annual Salary range: $50,000 - $93,000
