Job description

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience installing security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection) in large commercial environments.
  • Experience installing IP/network cameras including connecting them to the network and aiming/positioning them.
  • Experience doing head end (panel) terminations.
  • Experience installing access control devices like card readers, door contacts, request for exit devices.
  • Ability to walk 10,000+ steps/day.
  • Electronic security experience in a large commercial setting.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Lenel Cert.
  • AVIXA CTS experience.
  • Genetec access control experience.
  • Experience working in a data center.

Job Description:

A glob al technology solutions and systems integration company is looking for an Electronic Security Engineer to support physical and electronic security systems at various data centers. This role is based in Cedar Rapids, IA and offers great long term growth.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Interpret drawing packages to guide system installation 
  • Install Lenel CCTV and access control systems, including Axis cameras, and DMP intrusion detection products 
  • Maintain project timelines, especially for device and head-end installations 
  • Complete daily reports logging work completed  
  • Identify and report discrepancies in drawings or matrices promptly. 
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain records  
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project 

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 52404

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7AM-3PM (occasional overtime)

Pay rate: $32-$38/ hour.
