Oaknoll Retirement Residence is seeking a full-time Electrician to join our team! The qualified candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, or replacement of electrical equipment throughout Oaknoll, and will ensure compliance with safety codes. Maintenance, repair, or replacement will include, but is not limited to, wires, cables, switches, receptacles, outlets, fuses, circuit breakers, and fixtures. Work will only inlcude existing infrastructure, and will not include any new installation or expansion of any circuit, or any other work that legally requires a licensed electrician. Additional job duties will include, but are not limited too; assisting with moving residents' belongings when they change apartments or levels of care as requested, helping to clear snow as necessary, and assisting with other general maintenance tasks. Scheduled hours will be 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, and a weekend of on-call maintenance approximately every 6 weeks. Some holidays and weekends will be required.

Requirements:
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in commercial/industrial/residential electrical maintenance.
  • Candidates must have a valid Iowa driver's license and be willing to provide a certified driving record.
  • Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of electrical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Candidates must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly, and be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Candidates must be able to tactfully respond to staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
