Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc is looking to fill a Superintendent role for our Big Horn Data Center in Sparks Nevada.
This is a 2 year project with Hourly pay, Per Diem (if applicable) Car and Gas allowances.
Our Electrical Superintendent II may oversee the projects from the award of the project to the final construction. The position requires a high level of customer service to build and maintain relationships. Experience with electrical construction background is required.
Major Duties:
  • Supervises multiple Foremen on one or more projects.
  • Able to run a crew of 6,000 / 8,000-man hours per month.
  • Attends all HE leadership or other company-sponsored courses.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of Hunt Electric Superintendent duties, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Have effective communication skills and create positive relationships with clients, staff, and AHJs.
  • Run a project within a planned productivity and earned value schedule.
  • Works with the project team to build and maintain a positive morale on site.
  • Ability to run projects according to a planned productivity budget.
  • Assists with performance reviews as necessary.
  • Manages tools and equipment on-site to promote maximum productivity and help prevent loss, damage, or theft.
  • Understand schedules and perform 6-week look ahead consistently.
  • Demonstrates quality electrical installations and mechanical abilities.
  • After demobilization, less than 0.5% of budgeted labor hours are used for warranty work.
  • Perform accurate material take-off at the beginning of a project [95%].
  • Weekly material requests are thorough and timely, with minimal overages and adequate turn-around time allowances.
  • Accurate planning and layout according to plans, specs, submittal, and shop drawings.
  • Ability to plan/load resources effectively.
  • Projects meet or exceed the labor budget consistently.
  • Monitors crew members arriving fit for duty.
  • Reports timekeeping weekly.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) with the ability to be a leader by acknowledging contributions by others.
  • Has the ability to supervise, evaluate, develop, and retain superintendents, foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current Utah Journeyman license.
  • Greater than 95% attendance rate.
  • Seven plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
  • Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
  • Completed (4) projects as a Foreman or Superintendent from start to finish with at least ½ meeting labor budget.
  • Holds other Supervisors accountable.
  • Have moderate to high-level computer skills including Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to lift 100lbs.
  • Have safety training related to electrical and general construction such as OSHA 30 hour, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, scissor lift, forklift, Lock Out/Tag Out, and trade-specific, including 7000 man hours between 1st aid or recordable.
  • Other duties and locations assigned by Manager.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
