Farm Credit of Central Florida supports rural communities and agriculture in 13 central Florida counties including, Polk, Citrus, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Sumter, Osceola, Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard. Farm Credit of Central Florida, a leading agribusiness lender seeks an Economic & Industry Research Analyst for our headquarters in Lakeland, Florida. The position is responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting on economic conditions and agricultural commodity markets relevant to the Association's geographic territory. This role gathers and compiles national, regional, and local economic data, as well as industry-specific information related to major agricultural commodities grown and financed within the Association's service area. Specifically, this role will:

  • The position translates complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear actionable insights, using written reports, visualizations, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Research findings are used to support strategic decision-making, identify emerging products and market opportunities, and inform credit, sales, marketing, and business development initiatives. 
  • Maintains current working files on industry and economic conditions and contributes to annual reports, business plans, marketing strategies, and industry overviews.
  • Regularly delivers reports and presentations to management, senior leadership, members, and the Board of Directors, and participates in customer, public, and community relations efforts that advance the Association's mission and growth objectives. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field
  • Advanced education preferred, or completion of a certificate from a Graduate School of Banking
  • Demonstrated experience conducting and applying quantitative analysis to support business or economic decision-making
  • Basic knowledge of Florida, U.S., and global agribusiness, agricultural commodities, and related markets
  • Working knowledge of agricultural cooperatives or cooperative business models

This role will be considered for a hybrid work schedule, with up to 2 days per week remote, after the incumbent achieves a high level of independence and productivity on assigned work.
