Position Summary

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking a seasoned Trade Data Analyst to support a federal agency's trade enforcement, economic analysis, and research efforts. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in economics, data analytics, and international trade within government, financial services, consulting, think tanks, legal, or corporate environments.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex trade, economic, financial, and corporate data. Experience analyzing China-related economic, trade, or industrial issues is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze trade, economic, financial, corporate, and industry data.
  • Research global trade trends, market developments, and supply chain activities.
  • Support trade enforcement actions, investigations, negotiations, and litigation efforts.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, memoranda, and analytical products.
  • Conduct fact-checking, citation reviews, and evidence preparation.
  • Utilize government and commercial databases to support research and analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science, Finance, International Relations, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 10–20 years of experience in economics, international trade, data analytics, research, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as Python, Stata, R, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with international trade data, economic research, and policy analysis is highly preferred.
