Job description

Haver Analytics, a database firm tracking macroeconomic and financial data located in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking energetic candidates with an economics/finance/data science background to join our growing team. We are hiring for our US Day market hours in our New York office. Day market hours: (8:30 AM - 6:00 PM) Monday-Friday.

The position will involve a rotating Sunday shift occurring once every four weeks. Starting at $50k+. You would help collect, organize, and update key macroeconomic and financial figures.

To ensure the validity of these government and third-party releases, quality assurance checks are run on the data and reviewed. Further tasks would involve the creation of new data series/data sets and learning how to automate processes such as web extraction and data conversion using Python, EViews, and other tools. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about important economic and financial indicators that the community of economists, strategists, and risk managers within the corporate marketplace and public sector rely on.

Candidates must be detail oriented with good computer and communication skills. Coding skills in Python or any software is considered a plus for more readily learning our own systems. Requirements: *Submit cover letter and resume.
