With 18 retail stores, an online store, an extensive reuse/recycling operation, and our Contract Services division, we help individuals overcome barriers to employment, build sustainable lives and communities. 

Job Responsibilities 

Overview 

The E-Commerce Associate - 2 position  is a mid level role performing a variety of duties to achieve our common goal of selling donated items online for our retail store teams. This position is a prerequisite for promotion to E-Commerce Associate - 3. 

Major Responsibilities Production:  

  • Perform all functions and duties of the E-Commerce Associate 1 as needed. 

  • Train new employees with E-Commerce Associate - 1 skills as directed. 

  • Take photos of products for sale online within one major category segment; i.e jewelry, goods, etc 

  • Expedite Book/Media inventory to the scanners 

  • Operate equipment including pallet jack and box dumper, aka“Tiny the tipper” 

  • Receive e-carts from retail stores and process according to SOP’s 

  • Sort Jewelry from retail stores according to SOP 

  • Stock and Pull items listed online in our Warehouse according to SOP 

  • Ship and Package orders as assigned 

  • Ticket Books/Media According to SOP 

Major responsibilities Marketing & Sales:   

  • Perform all functions and duties of the E-Commerce Associate 1 as needed. 

  • Advanced data entry 

  • Customer service 

Major responsibilities Distribution:   

  • Perform all functions and duties of the E-Commerce Associate 1 as needed. 

  • Packing of E-Goods items including large, breakable and/or complex items 

General responsibilities:   

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area at all times. 

  • Meet productivity goals for the assigned role on a consistent basis. 

  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures. 

  • Other duties as assigned by a lead or manager. 

Requirements 

  • Knowledge of general arithmetic (adding/subtracting) required.    

  • Experience in material handling            

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work well with others in a close office environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Ability to read. write and speak in English.  Spanish is a plus. 

  • Ability to type in English fast enough to meet production goals. 

Equipment Used 

  • Computer PC/Tablet, Rolling containers, watermelon boxes, barrels, plastic totes, hand truck, furniture dolly, etc. 

Aptitudes/skills/temperament 

  • Ability to coordinate hand-eye-foot movement to safely maneuver/handle equipment and lift/stack donations.  

  • Ability to understand English, accept directions and follow procedures.  

  • Ability to perform routine work, adapting to change as it relates to workflow.  

  • Ability to maintain self-control and work in cooperation with co-workers.  

  • Ability to examine items and visually differentiate between them based on quality standards.  

  • Ability to meet and maintain established standards

Working conditions 

  • The job is performed both indoors in a climatically controlled setting and outdoors independently and in cooperation with co-workers.  

  • Work is performed in a large enclosed warehouse area on an even concrete floor surface. 

  • Some items handled may be soiled/dirty, these are either cleaned or disposed of following established procedures. A variety of household cleaning products are used. 

  • Work is completed independently but in cooperation with the whole department.   

  • The noise volume is moderately high throughout the day depending on the amount of activity, equipment in operation, radio operation and television testing.  

  • Material handling equipment (forklift, hand truck, moveable containers/racks) may be operated in or near work areas. 

Emotional Effort 

  • Moderate: The job is routine with occasional periods of high activity/demand requiring little or no overtime to complete the work.   Work environment is occasionally hectic with high activity, with great emphasis on teamwork. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Due to the variety of assignments with this position a person must have the ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach forward and overhead. Standing, sitting, carrying, pushing and pulling will also be involved.  

  • The work pace is steady requiring lifting and/or carrying of up to 30 lbs consistently. On a regular basis heavier items of up to 75 lbs will be lifted. Heavy items will be moved either with assistance from another person or by using appropriate material handling equipment.   

  • Normal or corrected talking, hearing, and seeing abilities are sufficient to perform the required tasks. 

  • Mobility required to move within the department.  

  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs throughout the workday.
