Position Overview

Uplands Counseling Center Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting with a focus on delivering exceptional outpatient mental health services. As an integral member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, and families, effectively addressing a variety of psychological and relational issues.

With full administrative support, our therapists can concentrate entirely on delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and family dynamics.
  • Providing individual and couples therapy, focusing on evidence-based practices to improve interpersonal relationships and emotional wellbeing.
  • Facilitating family therapy sessions that address communication issues, conflicts, and psychological challenges.
  • Developing tailored treatment plans that incorporate techniques for managing issues such as job stress, separation, grief, and blended family situations.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and collaboration with peers to stay informed about best practices in therapy.
  • Participating in regular team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and contribute to the center’s mission of clinical excellence.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMFT will work with a diverse clientele, including adults, children, and adolescents. You will engage with families experiencing various challenges, such as:

  • Alcohol and substance abuse issues
  • Physical and psychological trauma
  • Grief and loss
  • Communication difficulties and family conflicts
  • Adjustment challenges related to separation and divorce
  • Blend and adaptation concerns in remarried families
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a therapeutic setting.
Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience working in outpatient clinics, those familiar with teletherapy practices, and those who have successfully treated complex family dynamics will be prioritized.
