Position Summary
Support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of public works and school construction projects throughout California. The Project Engineer works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure project documentation, communication, scheduling, and field coordination are effectively managed from preconstruction through project closeout.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project operations and coordination.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, ASIs, change orders, drawing updates, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate communication between subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, inspectors, and owners.
  • Maintain accurate project logs, meeting minutes, and document control procedures.
  • Track procurement schedules and long-lead material deliveries to support project timelines.
  • Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice processing.
  • Participate in owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and project coordination meetings.
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for completeness, constructability, and DSA compliance.
  • Support field operations to ensure project information is communicated clearly and implemented properly.
  • Coordinate with DSA inspectors, testing agencies, and public agencies throughout all phases of construction.
  • Assist with project closeout including punch lists, warranties, as-built drawings, and turnover documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, public works regulations, OSHA safety standards, and company policies.
  • Promote a professional, team-oriented environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Knowledge of California DSA procedures, inspections, and documentation processes is a plus
