Job description

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Conventional Dredge Operator for a potential long-term, full-time position. This opportunity is not tied to a specific project; we are hiring qualified candidates to support current and future assignments at various locations.The operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient mobilization, operation, assisting in general maintenance, and demobilization of dredging equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, basic Hypack knowledge,  works effectively both independently and as part of a crew, and is willing to travel.Primary Responsibilities

·      Safely operate dredging equipment in accordance with project requirements and company procedures.

·      Mobilize, set up, operate, and demobilize dredging equipment.

·      Direct or assist crew members with placing shore anchors and cables.

·      Direct or assist with assembling, positioning, and laying pipe.

·      Verify dredge cuts.

·      Monitor depth gauges and other equipment to maintain the required excavation depth.

·      Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns.

·      Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

·      Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.

·      Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions.

·      Report to the project foreman and superintendent.

Requirements

·      Previous dredge-operating experience.

·      Valid driver's license.

·      Authorization to work in the United States.

·      Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

·      Ability to complete tasks with or without direct supervision.

·      Willingness to travel.

·      Availability to work out of town for extended periods, including weekends and holidays.

·      Ability to work approximately 75 hours per week, rotation-based.

·      Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Mechanical knowledge and equipment-maintenance experience.

·      Experience handling dredge pipe, anchors, cables, winches, and depth-monitoring equipment.

·      Construction, marine, or heavy-equipment experience.

·      HyPack/DredgePack

Physical and Work Requirements

·      Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

·      Ability to perform physically demanding construction and general-labor duties for extended periods.

·      Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, push, and pull throughout the workday.

·      Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.

·      Physical stamina to perform strenuous work for long periods.

·      Ability to work safely around water, heavy machinery, pipes, cables, and active construction equipment.

Benefits

Full-Time Traveling Position

Schedule: Approximately 75 hours per week; rotation-based

Compensation: Based on experience, $30.00 +
