Position Available:

We are currently in search of a dynamic HR Manager to join our Human Resources department. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in driving the development and daily operations of the HR team, while also establishing HR strategies at an enterprise level. The HR Manager will be instrumental in cultivating an employee-centric, high-performance culture that prioritizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal achievement, and organizational advancement. This role involves contributing to the corporate strategy by spearheading initiatives to attract and retain talent, develop employees and leaders, and align key business objectives. Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders are crucial for success in this position.

The HR Manager will be stationed at our South Hackensack, NJ office, with occasional travel to our Midtown, Manhattan office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, workers compensation, all recruitment lifecyle including talent management, hiring and on-boarding.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership to offer guidance on HR-related matters such as talent management, employee relations, and performance evaluation
  • Provide advice to managers on addressing team dynamics, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment
  • Partner with business leaders to identify skill gaps and implement development programs that enhance leadership capabilities, boost employee engagement, and support career advancement
  • Assist in designing and delivering training programs to address identified skill gaps and enhance overall employee competency
  • Establish processes for utilizing HR data and analytics to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and provide actionable insights that aid in decision-making and enhance HR practices
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and managers, offering guidance on the leave process and addressing any concerns
  • Investigate notices received from Federal and/or State agencies regarding payroll tax issues or tax filing penalties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in HR; PHR/SPHR certification and/or a Master’s Degree is advantageous
  • 5+ years of experience in the fashion accessories, apparel, and/or teamwear and sports industry
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, and persuasion
  • Demonstrated expertise in various HR disciplines such as employee relations, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, performance management, coaching, and development (Generalist)
  • Ability to analyze, plan, and execute corporate initiatives effectively
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and recommendations persuasively
  • Proficiency in handling sensitive inquiries/complaints and facilitating conflict resolution
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing employment issues
  • Ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
