Job description

Diabetes Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Bangor, Maine
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced full-time Diabetes Nurse Practitioner to join our established Endocrinology & Diabetes Care practice in Bangor, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for diabetes care to make a meaningful impact within a growing, collaborative program that serves patients across the region.
The Opportunity:
    • Full-time outpatient position with flexible scheduling options, including a 4- or 5-day workweek
    • Established referral patterns to support a smooth transition into practice
    • Clinic schedule averaging 12-14 patients per day, allowing time for quality, patient-centered care
    • Work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team including endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dietitians, medical assistants, and administrative staff
    • Provide care for patients with:
      • Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
      • Diabetes in pregnancy and gestational diabetes
      • Post-partum diabetes management
    • Supported by our ADA-recognized Diabetes and Nutrition Center, which includes RD Certified Diabetes Educators who actively assist with patient management and education

    Compensation Information:
    • $118,400-$124,800 annual base salary with the ability to earn additional compensation based on productivity.
    • The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.

    Qualifications:
    • Certified Nurse Practitioner with 3+ years' experience
    • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Maine
    • Experience in diabetes management required
    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to care
