What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Time DevOps Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time DevOps Engineer, you need a strong background in software development, system administration, and automation, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Proficiency with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, along with relevant certifications, is essential. Strong problem-solving abilities, collaboration, and effective communication are key soft skills that set successful DevOps professionals apart. These skills and qualities are crucial for streamlining development processes, ensuring system reliability, and enabling rapid, secure software delivery.

What are Full Time DevOps?

Full Time DevOps professionals are IT specialists who work to bridge the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring smooth, automated, and efficient processes throughout the software lifecycle. They are responsible for automating deployments, managing infrastructure, monitoring systems, and promoting a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. Working full time means DevOps engineers are dedicated employees, rather than contractors or part-timers, and are deeply involved in the ongoing improvement and reliability of a company’s technology systems.

How does a Full Time DevOps engineer typically collaborate with development and operations teams?

As a Full Time DevOps engineer, you’ll work closely with both development and IT operations teams to streamline software delivery and improve system reliability. This often involves participating in daily stand-ups, coordinating deployment pipelines, and troubleshooting production issues alongside developers and sysadmins. Effective communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential, as you’ll bridge the gap between coding and infrastructure. Your collaboration ensures faster releases, better quality control, and smoother incident response.

Job description

LeadVenture is looking for a Revenue Operations Engineer to join our team! This role would suit a hands-on, technically curious individual who is comfortable configuring and optimizing a modern GTM tech stack and learning quickly. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, well organized, and committed to maintaining a high level of data accuracy and integrity across revenue systems. This role requires cross-functional work with sales, marketing, customer success, BI, and IT/Systems teams to support priorities and deliver operational impact. This role reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as day-to-day administrator of the 3rd Party Tools for the GTM tech stack, including Gong, Apollo.io, Clay, and Outreach; manage configuration, permissions, workflows, user management, and routine maintenance

Support user experience and adoption efforts across sales, marketing, and customer success by building enablement materials, running training sessions, responding to user questions, and tracking adoption metrics

Scope incoming requests and contribute clear, well-structured requirements to BI and Systems/IT teams

Build and maintain integrations, automations, and data flows across the GTM stack, CRM, and marketing automation platforms; monitor for errors and resolve issues

Participate in vendor evaluations, proofs of concept, and tool rollouts; contribute testing, documentation, and enablement support

Monitor data quality, license utilization, and feature adoption; surface redundancies and optimization opportunities to the team

Maintain documentation, process guides, and a source of truth for how each tool is configured and used

Support operational events that touch the stack, including user provisioning, offboarding, territory changes, and quarterly GTM cadences

You'll thrive in this role if you're:

Curious about tools and comfortable teaching yourself new platforms quickly

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership for data accuracy and system hygiene

Hands-on with at least one or two of Gong, Apollo.io, Clay, Outreach, Salesloft, or comparable platforms

Comfortable asking questions, pushing back when requirements are unclear, and documenting what you build

Energized by helping frontline reps get more done with less friction

A clear written communicator who can turn a conversation into a ticket and a ticket into a working solution

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's in Business, Information Systems, or related field although other degrees welcome to apply

2-4 years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, GTM Systems, or a CRM administrator role in B2B SaaS or similar
